Super Simple Tomato Pasta

After chatting with James Baker from Food and Baker on my first podcast, it got me thinking about that classic go-to food: pasta. So here is my super easy and super tasty tomato pasta.

£0.40     20 mins Serve 1

All you need is

  • 75g pasta of your choice
  • 150g passata
  • 1/2 white onion
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar (optional)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 30g cheese of your choice
  • a cup of water

To make it just

  1. Roughly chop the onion and gently fry in a pot with the balsamic vinegar if you want or use normal oil or butter.
  2. Place the pasta in the pan and add all other ingredients. Mix well ensuring the pasta is completely covered. Then leave to bring to the boil and cook for 15 minutes until the pasta is soft.
  3. Serve and enjoy!

If you find the pasta has absorbed most of the liquid add a bit more water to allow the pasta to continue to cook.
